Mosyle Integration

Connect QuantAssure to Mosyle to monitor your managed devices for compliance.

What It Collects

  • Device Inventory — All managed devices (Macs, iPhones, iPads) as assets
  • Compliance Findings — Security and compliance issues including:
    • Outdated operating systems
    • Missing encryption (FileVault)
    • Missing MDM profiles
    • Other compliance violations

Prerequisites

  • A Mosyle Business or Mosyle School account
  • Admin access to generate API credentials
  • API access enabled for your Mosyle account

Setup Steps

1. Get Your Mosyle API Credentials

  1. Log in to your Mosyle admin console
  2. Navigate to OrganizationAPI Integration (or SettingsAPI)
  3. If API access isn't enabled, contact Mosyle support to enable it
  4. Generate or locate your API token
  5. Note your Mosyle API URL (typically https://managerapi.mosyle.com/v2)

2. Configure in QuantAssure

  1. Create or edit a System in QuantAssure
  2. In the Data Sources section, enable Mosyle
  3. Enter your Mosyle API URL
  4. Enter your API token
  5. Save your system configuration

3. Run Your First Scan

Click "Run Scan" to collect data from Mosyle.

What to Expect

After your first scan:

  • Assets: One asset per managed device in your fleet
  • Findings: Compliance violations detected on your devices:
    • Devices running outdated macOS/iOS versions
    • Devices without FileVault enabled
    • Devices missing required MDM profiles
    • Other compliance gaps

Troubleshooting

"Invalid API token" error

  • Verify your API token is correct
  • Check that API access is enabled for your Mosyle account
  • Ensure the token hasn't been revoked or expired

No devices appearing

  • Verify your Mosyle account has enrolled devices
  • Check that your API URL is correct
  • Confirm your API token has read access to device data

Missing compliance findings

  • Compliance checks run against Mosyle's compliance policies
  • Ensure you have compliance policies configured in Mosyle
  • Some compliance data may require specific Mosyle plan features
